Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a Transmission Operations Engineer III/Senior in Phoenix, AZ on a hybrid schedule for a six-month temporary assignment with a pay range of $50.00-$65.00 per hour. You will join a transmission engineering team performing analyses, studies, and long-range planning to support reliable power system operation.

Responsibilities include engineering analyses, coordinating with internal stakeholders, preparing reports, and guiding less-experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant electrical engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in transmission/power systems engineering.
• PE license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analyses, studies, evaluations, investigations, and technical reviews for transmission operations and planning.
• Conduct power flow studies to inform operational decisions.
• Develop engineering solutions for transmission reliability issues.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to align project objectives and schedules.

What You'll Bring

• Knowledge of engineering codes, standards, practices, methods, and safety requirements.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Strong analytical and problem-resolution skills.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and intermediate Copilot skills.
