Qualifications

• BS in Approved Engineering/Applied Science required for Engineer III or higher.
• 5+ years of engineering experience for Engineer III; 8+ years for Senior Engineer.
• NERC RC certification required or must be obtainable within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead deep-dive technical studies, forensic investigations, and operational reviews.

• Analyze & Evaluate: Lead deep-dive technical studies, forensic investigations, and operational reviews.
• Model & Interpret: Run power flow studies that directly steer real-time and long-range grid decisions.
• Architect Solutions: Solve heavy-hitting reliability and engineering bottlenecks.
• Collaborate: Partner cross-functionally to align milestones, specs, and safety standards.
• Mentor: Level up junior engineering talent through technical guidance and shared context.
• Document: Translate complex findings into crisp executive reports, cost models, and action plans.

What You Bring (The Essentials)

• Level Mapping:
• Engineer III: BS in Approved Engineering/Applied Science + 5+ years experience + NERC RC certification (or ability to earn within 6 months).
• Senior Engineer: BS in Approved Engineering/Applied Science + 8+ years experience + NERC RC certification (or ability to earn within 6 months).
• Tech Stack Fluency: Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and intermediate Microsoft Copilot skills.
