This role ensures accuracy in inventory records and supports Transmission operational needs.This is a fast-paced stockroom environment and requires regular physical activity, including frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting materials, and occasional use of forklift equipment.ResponsibilitiesUnderstanding of inventory principles, reconciliation methods, and storm/return protocolsKnowledge of storeroom best practices and warehouse documentation processesUnderstanding of inventory principles, reconciliation methods, and storm/return protocolsKnowledge of delivery scheduling, routing, and communication protocolsWorking knowledge of Maximo, WMS, and Velocity systemsKnowledge of data integrity standards and reporting expectationsCertification requirements and safety rulesBasic understanding of utility restoration needs during outagesKnowledge of OSHA regulations, PPE standardsUnderstanding of workplace communication channels and expectationsKnowledge of physical demands and safety measures for lifting/movingPerform day-to-day storeroom tasks such as receiving, storing, issuing and returning materials, tools and equipment to maintain accurate inventory levelsConduct cycle counts, reconciliations, audits, and inspections to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with quality standardsSafely operate material-handling equipment, including forklifts, in compliance with safety guidelinesOrder material through project management software for operation projects and perform Project Closeout tasksCoordinate with warehouse and/or vendors to ensure timely and accurate receipt of materials, tools, and equipmentCollaborate with Team Lead, district personnel, Supply Chain Management and other departments to meet inventory demands and address discrepanciesMaintain organized and orderly storeroom conditions, adhering to 5S and lean practices as applicableQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in warehousing and inventory management; or associate’s degree in supply chain management or related field plus minimum 3 years of experience in warehousing and inventory management requiredCertification to operate forklifts or other material-handling equipmentProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Warehouse Management System (WMS) and inventory management softwareStrong attention to detail, organizational skills, problem-solving skills and ability to work independentlyKnowledge of industry regulations and safety standards, including OSHA; OSHA10 certification preferredAbility to work overtime as requiredEqual Employment OpportunityOn-Target is an equal employment opportunity provider.
