Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission Line Intern to gain hands-on experience in power delivery projects in Kansas City. You will work under the supervision of professionals and apply standard engineering techniques on real assignments.

The role is open to undergraduate or graduate engineering students who show attention to detail, strong problem-solving, and good communication. Local candidates are preferred and you will join our employee-owned culture.

HDR is looking for a Transmission Line Intern to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals. In the role of Intern, we’ll count on you to:

• Offer real-world experience on exciting projects
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
• Participates in project reviews as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
• Preference is given to local candidates

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
• Attention to detail
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
