Job Description:
Summary:
The person in this position will work with multidisciplinary project teams providing transmission line design engineering and related technical expertise. Work will include preparing design documents for high-voltage transmission and distribution lines in the electric utility and renewable energy sectors. Tasks may include creating transmission line design models, developing wood and steel pole specifications, construction and materials specifications, drilled pier foundation design and embedment depth calculations, as well as reviewing and producing design drawings, including plan and profiles, framing, and assembly.
This position also offers leadership opportunities such as managing projects, coaching and mentoring less-experienced staff, providing technical leadership, and managing teams to meet client needs.
The work may involve short-term out-of-town assignments.

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range is $108,000-$129,000/year. This position is classified as exempt under FLSA. Compensation will vary based on experience, education, and skills. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. Barr distributes its profits to employees through bonuses and ESOP.
