Job summary

ECE, an employee-owned firm in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to design and deliver 35kV–230kV lines and structures, from concept through construction.

You’ll prepare contracts, support permitting, and participate in construction oversight while collaborating with seasoned teams; PE preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Electrical Engineering (or related)
• Knowledge of NESC & RUS standards
• PLS-CADD software experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Design transmission lines (35kV–230kV) and structures (wood, steel, concrete, monopoles & multi-poles)
• Prepare RUS 830 contracts and project documentation
• Support permitting (DOT, rail, waterway, pipeline, utility crossings)
• Be involved in construction oversight, inspections, and project close-out
