Job summary

Finezi Inc. in Pomona, CA is seeking a Senior Transmission & Distribution Line Engineer (PLS-CADD | Utility Design) for a 12-month contract.

The role is onsite in Pomona with hybrid 2 days in office and field collaboration as needed. Responsibilities include performing line design and analyses using PLS-CADD and related tools, developing engineering packages, ensuring GO95/NESC/ASCE compliance, and supporting field teams with design issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in civil/structural or related engineering discipline.
• 7–10 years of electric utility transmission or distribution line design experience.
• Experience with PLS-CADD and/or PLS-Pole.
• Familiarity with GO95, NESC, ASCE and utility design standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform transmission and distribution line design and analysis using PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, SPIDAcalc and related software.
• Develop and review engineering packages for overhead line and pole/foundation projects.
• Perform engineering calculations and ensure designs comply with GO95, NESC, ASCE and SCE standards.
• Support construction and field personnel by resolving design issues and participating in field visits as needed.
• Provide technical support to project teams and collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
• Support continuous improvement of engineering standards, procedures and design practices.
