Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group in Columbus, OH is seeking a Design Engineer - Transmission Line to design, analyze, and upgrade high‑voltage transmission facilities. You will apply PLS-CADD modeling, structure analysis, and drafting standards to deliver safe, reliable infrastructure.

You will collaborate with engineers and project teams, maintain detailed calculations and documentation, and ensure compliance with NESC, IEEE, ANSI, and IBC.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil/Structural Engineering degree required.
• 2+ years of experience in routing and design of high voltage overhead transmission line facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform, lead, and oversee engineering responsibilities for overhead transmission line design including PLS-CADD modeling, line routing, structure analysis and loading trees.
• Utilize AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcGIS for scaled drawings and mapping.
• Implement engineering redlines with precision before final drafting.
• Conduct calculations such as voltage drop, pole loading, and cable pulling to validate designs.
• Prepare joint use authorizations based on field data and redlines.
• Ensure compliance with NESC, IEEE, ANSI, IBC codes and standards.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and calculations.
• Travel up to 10% as required.
