ArborMetrics Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Transmission Utility Forester in Virginia to support Dominion Energy. This field role requires independent outdoor work, safety focus, and strong UVM knowledge to ensure reliable electric service.

Responsibilities include supervising ROW clearing, assessing danger trees, engaging with customers, and ensuring crews follow arboricultural practices while protecting public safety.

Qualifications

• Degree in forestry or related field.
• Experience in UVM or vegetation management preferred.
• Ability to read maps and identify tree species.
• Willingness to work outdoors and travel up to 100% during the work week.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, smartphones).

Responsibilities

• Oversee ROW clearing operations.
• Conduct danger tree assessments and supervise removals.
• Ensure safe, reliable electric service delivery to the public.
• Serve as SME on utility vegetation management for clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure crews follow safety and arboricultural practices.
• Address customer concerns about vegetation in/near easements.
• Negotiate tree removals with customers as prescribed.
• Perform QA/QC inspections on vegetation work.
• Identify vegetative threats and develop mitigation plans.
