Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission EIT/Coordinator in the United States, Florida, Orlando. This full-time role involves analyzing power-related design options, preparing project deliverables, and collaborating with engineers and BIM specialists.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and are committed to HDR's employee-owned culture. Primary location is Orlando, with opportunities to contribute to grid modernization and sustainable power projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses to develop power-related design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of project deliverables (e.g., engineering drawing packages, cost estimates, project specifications).
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
• Work independently on small projects or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers, other EITs, Designers, or BIM Specialists as needed.

In the role of Transmission EIT/Coordinator, we'll count on you to:

• Conduct analyses to develop power-related design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of project deliverables (examples include engineering drawing packages, cost estimates, and project specifications)
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
• Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers / professionals on larger projects
• Work with assistance from Project Engineers, other Engineers In-Training (EITs), Designers, or BIM Specialists as needed
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
