Job summary

HDR in Chicago is seeking a Transmission EIT/Coordinator to help shape how electricity is generated, transmitted and delivered. You’ll analyze options, prepare design deliverables, and work with engineers on projects.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analyses to develop power‑related design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of project deliverables (e.g., engineering drawing packages, cost estimates, specifications).
  • Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
  • Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
  • Work independently on small projects, or assist more‑senior engineers on larger projects.
  • Collaborate with Project Engineers, other Engineers In‑Training, Designers, or BIM Specialists as needed.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Transmission EIT/Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
  • Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
  • Preference given to local candidates
