Liberty is seeking a Line Design Engineer to plan, design, and deliver transmission and distribution projects that ensure safe, reliable electric service for customers. The role blends office design work with field exposure, requiring collaboration with engineers, technicians, and contractors across the project lifecycle.
You will develop expertise in utility design, loadings, structures, and construction practices while contributing to a growing utility organization.

As a Line Design Engineer at Liberty, you'll help plan, design, and deliver transmission and distribution projects that support safe, reliable electric service for our customers. You'll work on everything from routing and structure design to construction support, collaborating with engineers, field personnel, contractors, and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

With some guidance, will prepare models, perform route selection, assist with right-of-way acquisition, line and structure spotting and optimization. Prepare material and construction specifications, design criteria and construction drawings, procure materials, and support project through construction. Perform structure analysis and design of pole, framed, self-supporting and guyed structures and foundations. May also work as a teammate with an engineering technician.
In addition to junior level engineer - Leads and directs work of others. Provides expert judgment and analysis. Leads in training entry level engineers. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Resolves highly complex technical issues and conducts advanced research.
