Hunt Electric, Inc in Salt Lake City, UT, seeks an Apprentice Lineman for our Transmission and Distribution Division to support construction, maintenance, and repair of power systems. Candidates must be enrolled in a certified Journeyman Lineman Apprenticeship Program, hold a Class A CDL, CPR/First Aid or willing to obtain, and be prepared for overtime and travel.

This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and on-the-job training of apprentices as you develop hands-on skills in URD installations,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 21+ years old to drive CDL over state lines.
• Enrolled/Attended certified Journeyman Lineman Apprenticeship Program (cert copy required).
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with DOT readiness.
• CPR and First Aid certified or able to obtain within 90 days.
• Willingness to travel for extended periods.
• Overtime willingness; 3 weeks on, 1 week off.

Responsibilities

• Work productively in a team atmosphere.
• Interpret electrical plans and prints; stand, lift up to 100 pounds.
• Attend IPSA Apprentice Schooling and track hours.
• Climb poles and towers; URD installations.
• Provide on-the-job training to apprentices and crew members.
• Identify voltage levels and proper grounding procedures.
• Operate equipment safely and maintain tools in good order.
• Perform pre-job/tailboard briefings.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
