Job summary

Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking an Apprentice Lineman to join our Transmission and Distribution Division.

You will assist in construction, maintenance, and repair of power lines, substation systems while advancing through the IPSA Apprentice Schooling. The role requires physical fitness, the ability to travel, and adherence to safety standards; successful candidates will hold a Class A CDL, be enrolled in an apprenticeship program, and demonstrate teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
You must be 21 years or older to drive with your CDL over state lines.
Enrolled/Attended a certified Journeyman Lineman Apprenticeship Program (copy of certificated required).
Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class “A”) with ability to meet all DOT requirements.
Must be CPR and First Aid certified or possess the ability to obtain such certification within 90 days of employment.
Must be willing to Travel for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

Construct, maintain, and repair electrical transmission, distribution, and substation systems.
Interpret electrical plans and prints and work safely in elevated positions.
Provide on-the-job training to apprentices and crew members.
Demonstrate safe operation of equipment and maintain tools in good working order.
Travel and work overtime as schedule requires.
