Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Transmission Civil/Structural Engineer Intern in the Power Delivery - Transmission & Distribution group to gain hands-on experience designing high-voltage infrastructure from 69kV to 345kV. You will collaborate with engineers, perform calculations, learn PLS-CADD, and prepare drawings and reports.

You must be pursuing a bachelor's in Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Electrical Eng with two years of coursework by Summer 2027, and be able to work full-time at an office location in

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with two years of coursework completed by Summer 2027.
• AutoCAD experience is a strong plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
• Must be able to work full-time during Summer 2027 at one of our office locations.
• Authorization to work permanently in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers on transmission systems design.
• Perform structural and foundation calculations under supervision.
• Support development of transmission system designs using industry tools.
• Learn and apply PLS-CADD to studies and layouts.
• Assist in preparing drawings, reports, and technical documentation.
• Participate in team meetings and exposure to the consulting process.
• Possible field/site visits and training sessions.
