Job summary

Patriot Rail Company in Indiana seeks a Transload Operator to manage outbound/inbound inventory, load and unload bulk liquids, and ensure safe transfer from railcars to tank trucks.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts, maintaining equipment, performing safety checks, and following SOPs/JSAs. Requires physical stamina, English proficiency, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel to other terminals.

Qualifications

• Read, write, and understand English.
• Basic math skills.
• Computer skills (light data entry).
• Valid Driver's License.
• Capable to learn how to operate and maintain railcar/trans loading equipment (e.g., hoses, portable conveyors, transfer pumps, portable stair systems, small to medium sized equipment).
• Ability and willingness to travel to other transload terminals when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Outbound and inbound inventory receiving.
• Complete damage reports, product, wrapping, pallet, bundle, crate, etc.
• Safely and timely prepare and load products for transport.
• Safely and timely stage products for loading.
• Safely and timely load products onto truck, and/or railcar.
• Quality control on damaged products.
• Operate within SOPs and JSAs.
• Operate sit down forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Perform daily forklift safety checks and report issues.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors.
• Keep work area clean and maintained.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Facilitate loading from railcars into tank trucks.
• Physical requirements: lifting and carrying while inspecting vehicles.
• Must be able to work at heights and wear fall protection PPE.
• Be able to pass background check and drug test.
