Job summary
BioPhase Inc. is seeking a hands-on Senior/Associate Scientist to drive translational studies in oncology and immunology from San Diego. You will oversee sample workflows, perform qPCR and tissue-based assays, and analyze data with cross-functional teams.
The role emphasizes strong documentation, assay optimization, and collaboration with Translational Sciences, Biology, and Biomarker groups to advance internal projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in biology or related field.
- 8+ years of biotech/pharma experience.
- Hands-on with qPCR/RT-qPCR, nucleic acid isolation and cell culture.
- Experience with tissue processing and IHC.
- Strong data-collection and analytical documentation habits.
Responsibilities
- Lead translational studies across oncology, immunology, and in vivo pharmacology.
- Perform RNA/DNA extraction, qPCR/RT-qPCR, and gene expression analysis.
- Run mammalian cell culture and support in vitro pharmacology.
- Prepare tissue samples for molecular/histological analysis.
- Coordinate IHC, multiplex IHC, and spatial biology assays.
- Support biomarker characterization with internal and external partners.
- Analyze data and maintain precise experimental records.
- Troubleshoot assays to improve quality and reproducibility.
- Collaborate with Translational Sciences and Biomarker teams.
