Job summary

McLean Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham, seeks a combined Postdoctoral Fellow in Translational Neuroscience and Microscopy Core Manager to lead cutting-edge imaging studies and oversee the microscopy facility. The role blends independent brain research with scientific and operational leadership of shared imaging resources.

You will work on advanced fluorescence, confocal, two-photon, and TEM, while guiding investigators in study design, data analysis, budgeting, and training.

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, or equivalent in neuroscience or related field.
• Experience with advanced microscopy and image analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the McLean Hospital Microscopy Core operations.
• Provide expert guidance on microscopy study design and data analysis.
• Train users and supervise on-site contracted services.
• Develop and enforce SOPs for instrument use and safety.
• Manage budgets, invoicing, and fiscal reporting.
