Job summary

CSL Behring in Waltham, MA, is seeking a Principal Scientist, Translational Science Immunology, to lead translational research and preclinical activities within the Immunology portfolio. The role emphasizes design, planning, execution, and reporting of work-packages in Pharmacology and Translational Research, with collaboration across labs and CROs.

Qualifications

PhD in Immunology or cellular biology with relevant translational research experience.
10+ years of academic and/or industry immunology experience.
Proven track record in translation of research to early clinical development.

Responsibilities

Design and execute in vitro and ex vivo studies to investigate mechanism of action and target validation.
Develop PD biomarker strategies and assays for non-GLP/GLP toxicology and early clinical studies.
Collaborate with in vivo pharmacology teams to support indication selection with pre-clinical data.
Coordinate with clinical development teams to align pre-clinical studies with human studies.
Contribute to investigator brochures, regulatory submissions, and clinical study reports.
Support strategic translational research planning with the TA leads.
Facilitate cross-functional communication between Research and Translational teams.
Build external scientific networks in Immunology and related areas.
