Job summary

CSL Behring in Waltham, MA seeks a Principal Scientist, Translational Science Immunology to lead translational research and preclinical development for Immunology programs. This hybrid role requires three days onsite weekly, with reporting to the Senior Director, Translational Research.

You will design, plan, and execute work-packages in Pharmacology and Translational Research, driving target validation and biomarker strategies while collaborating across research, CROs, and clinical teams.

Qualifications

• PhD required with 10+ years in Immunology or immune-mediated diseases
• Experience translating research into early clinical development
• Ability to design in vitro and ex vivo studies and biomarker strategies

Responsibilities

• Design in vitro and ex vivo studies to investigate mechanism of action and drive target validation
• Develop PD biomarker strategies for non-GLP/GLP toxicology and early clinical studies
• Collaborate with in vivo pharmacology and clinical teams to support indication selection
• Contribute to investigator brochures, regulatory submissions, and clinical study reports
• Align research planning with TA priorities and engage external scientific networks
