Job summary

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc. seeks a Research Assistant I to support translational prostate cancer projects in the CPDR/MCCRP programs in Bethesda.

You will assist with molecular biology experiments, data collection, and literature-based problem solving in a collaborative lab setting. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in a life sciences field, possess strong data handling skills, and show interest in biomarkers research and cancer biology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant life sciences field required.
• 0–2 years of related laboratory experience preferred.
• Comfort with standard lab techniques and basic data handling.

Responsibilities

• Carry out research projects under guidance within a team of investigators.
• Assist in data collection, organization, and documentation according to SOPs.
• Prepare technical reports and summaries of experimental results.
• Maintain laboratory supplies and ensure cleanliness and safety.
