Job summary

Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) in Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced Biostatistician or Bioinformatician to join a translational immunology lab. You will analyze clinical trial and multi-omic data, develop analysis plans, and contribute statistical expertise to grant applications.

Responsibilities include diverse statistical analyses, data visualization, reporting results, and collaborating with scientists to design experiments and ensure data validity.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent field with 1 year relevant experience, or Bachelor’s in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or MIS with 3 years relevant experience.
• Ability to perform data analysis using appropriate software programs and/or program in R.
• Excellent organizational and clear communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop data analysis plans, including power calculations, and contribute statistical expertise to federal grant applications.
• Perform a wide variety of statistical or bioinformatic analyses and assist with data visualization.
• Evaluate methods and procedures to ensure data validity, accuracy, and usability.
• Report results with graphs, charts, and tables to non-statistical audiences.
• Convey results of analyses to non-statistical audiences.
• Analyze, interpret data and prepare conclusions.
• Identify relationships and trends in data and factors affecting results.
• Assist scientists in designing experiments to facilitate correct analysis.
• Query databases and manage datasets, including uploading curated data to federal sites such as ImmPORT, ARK, Geo, and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
