Job summary

The James/Guthridge Lab at Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in Oklahoma City seeks an experienced biostatistician or bioinformatician to analyze clinical trial and multi-omic data. You will provide statistical expertise for federal grant applications and collaborate across disciplines.

Responsibilities include planning analyses, performing diverse analyses, data visualization, data quality checks, and communicating results to non-statistical audiences.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in biostatistics or bioinformatics.
• Ability to perform data analysis using appropriate software and R.
• Excellent organizational and clear communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop data analysis plans, including power calculations and grant support.
• Perform statistical or bioinformatic analyses and assist with data visualization.
• Ensure data validity, applicability, accuracy and reliability.
• Report results with graphs, charts and tables for diverse audiences.
• Convey analyses to non-statistical stakeholders.
• Analyze, interpret data and prepare conclusions.
• Identify trends and factors impacting results.
• Assist scientists in designing experiments for proper analysis.
• Query databases and manage datasets, uploading to federal sites when needed.
