Job summary

Welo Data is seeking Translation Validators for Farsi language validation of AI-generated translations. You will review an English source with two Farsi variants, choose the preferred version, and justify your choice in a blind three-validator setup.

The role requires native-level Farsi, strong English, and independent work. It's fully remote with flexible scheduling and a two-week commitment as a freelance contract.

About the Role

Welo Data is seeking experienced linguists to support a synthetic data generation program for a leading technology client. In this role, you will perform A/B preference testing of machine-generated translations from English into Farsi, helping to evaluate and improve the quality of AI-generated content. As a Translation Validator, you will independently review an English source document alongside two machine-generated translations (Variant A and Variant B), select the preferred translation, and provide a written justification for your choice. Each sample is reviewed by three independent validators working in a blind process.

• Pay Rate: $3.50 USD/Hour

Requirements:

• Native-level fluency in Farsi (written and spoken).

• Strong written communication skills in the target language.

• Proficiency in English.

• Background in linguistics, translation, or language quality assessment preferred.

• Ability to work independently with high attention to detail and consistency.

• Familiarity with Romanized script conventions for the relevant language is a plus (for transliteration tasks).
