Carolina Outreach seeks a full-time Peer Support Services TCL to provide community-based peer support for individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders, focusing on tenancy stability and recovery.

Work with therapists and medical teams, use WRAP, assist with daily living, respond to crises, and offer flexible hours including after-hours in the home and community settings. Requires NC diploma or GED and NC Peer Support certification; valid NC driver's license.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid and active driver's license in NC.

Responsibilities

  • Provide peer support services to individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders.

Carolina Outreach is a group of highly trained behavioral health professionals dedicated to promoting the emotional and physical well-being of our community in a safe and respectful environment.We provide a comprehensive and integrative array of behavioral health services and supports for people of all ages with varying levels of need utilizing an equitable and inclusive approach.We focus on helping our clients tap into and develop their inherent strengths with the goal of supporting the highest quality of life possible for all we serve.About The RoleWe are seeking a full-time Peer Support Services TCL to provide Peer Support Services to individuals with Mental Health and/or substance use disorders with Permanent Supportive Housing and participating in the Transition to Community Living program. The intent of the service is to increase an individual’s ability to live successfully in the community by maintaining tenancy. Peer Support Services with a Tenancy focus is appropriate for individuals who are currently in stable housing but have continuing needs around maintaining tenancy, community inclusion, building supports, and enhancing quality of life.Collaborates with the client’s therapists to determine the individual’s status and response to treatment; symptom assessment and management;Provide individual supportive counseling using the WRAP model;Assists and supports activities-of-daily-living, social, interpersonal relationship, and leisure-time-activity services;Provides highly individualized services in the community and promotes individual self-determination and decision-making.Collaborates with therapists and medical providers to promote a culture in which each individual’s point of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected and integrated into treatment, rehabilitation, and community self-help activities.Works a non-traditional schedule and make themselves available as needed to meet with clients as frequently as needed and at times convenient to them, be available after-hours and go to clients’ homes quickly after hours as needed in crises. Also, available to clients 24/7 in the event of a crisis.This description outlines the general scope and level of work for this role. It is not intended to include every duty or responsibility that may be required of employees in this position.CompensationThis role is compensated on a variable rate model, designed to reward productivity while providing consistent earning opportunity through established referral volume.Compensation: $37, 920 - $48,693Placement within the range is based on licensure level, education, and experience.This is a variable rate non-exempt position with unlimited earning potential.
