Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Central Oklahoma is seeking a Transitions Program Manager to lead the two‑year employment and life‑skills training program for young adults with intellectual disabilities.

You will oversee operations, curriculum, staff supervision, and partnerships with schools, disability organizations, and employers to ensure strong program outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years' experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  • Supervisory experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Experience working with a transitions program preferred.
  • Experience in job development or coaching strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and clean driving record.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems/CRMs, with strong data analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Transitions Program.
  • Ensure alignment and compliance with Goodwill mission, HIPAA, and CARF standards.
  • Develop schedules, work rotations, and individualized training plans.
  • Screen applicants for appropriate placement into the program.
  • Monitor participant outcomes and progress.
  • Maintain supplies and technology.
  • Manage program data and reporting.
  • Supervise Job Coaches and other staff.
  • Provide coaching/training and performance feedback.
  • Participate in instruction and provide job coaching and workplace task demonstrations as needed.
  • Deliver group and 1:1 instruction.
  • Oversee and update curriculum.
  • Conduct assessments, case management, and goalsetting.
  • Build partnerships with schools, disability organizations, and employers.
  • Attend outreach events and represent the program.
  • Advocate for participants in employer settings.
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation within the CRM and team spreadsheets.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Transitions Program Manageris responsible foroverseeing all operations of Goodwill Central Oklahoma’s Transitions Program, a two-year employment and life-skills training program designed for young adults ages 18–24 with intellectual disabilities. This role ensures high-quality delivery of life-skills instruction, employment readiness training, and paid work-based learning experiences. TheTransitionsProgram Manager will serve as trainer, job coach, and case manager as needed while also supervising program staff, engagingfamiliesand community partners, and ensuring participants achieve strong program outcomes.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, and stoop.
  • Ability todemonstrateretail and janitorial tasks including sorting, barbing, hanging, tagging, stocking, and lifting items.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds or more withor withoutassistance.
  • Frequent walking in training environments.
  • Ability tooperatea computer.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Work performed inclassrooms, retail training sites, and employer locations.
  • Climate-controlled environment with occasional retail/warehouse exposure.
  • Low to moderate noise levels.
  • Works40 hoursper weekMonday–Friday.
  • Must be willing toworka flexible schedule when necessary for outreach events.
  • Occasional local travelwithin the state.
