Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas, Inc. seeks a Program Manager to lead the Shalom House Men’s Transitional Living Program, supervising staff, coordinating services, and driving program outcomes in a dynamic housing services setting.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate passion for Catholic Charities mission.
• Minimum two years of management or team lead experience in social services.
• Minimum one year of case management.
• Experience with homeless populations.
• Valid Kansas or Missouri driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Admits new clients by reviewing records and applications; conducting orientations.
• Determines clients’ requirements by completing intake interviews; evaluating health needs and plans.
• Provide feedback and consultation to managed teams regarding services, coordination of services, assessments, goal setting, and engagement of client.
• Organize and oversee all aspects of the program (assessments, intakes, crisis management).
• Establishes treatment programs by setting schedules and coordinating services; arranging resources.
• Provide supervision and training to program staff and ensure shifts are fully staffed.
• Assist Director with recruitment and staff selection.
• Deliver client services to help clients achieve self-sufficiency and secure services.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual program reports for agency and funding sources.
• Participate on management team to develop staff and meet program goals.
• Adhere to agency policies, contracts, and budgets.

Essential Functions

• Admits new clients by reviewing records and applications; conducting orientations.
• Determines clients’ requirements by completing intake interviews; determining need for therapeutic medical, psychosocial, psychiatric evaluations, and physical health; reviewing evaluations, treatment objectives, and plans.
• Provide feedback and consultation to managed teams regarding services, coordination of services, assessments, goal setting, and engagement of client.
• Organize and oversee all aspects of the program(s), including assessments, intakes, and crisis management
• Establishes treatment programs by setting schedules and routines; coordinating services provided; arranging resources, including transportation and escort.
• Provide support with scheduling, organization and briefing of staff. Ensuring all shifts are fully staffed.
• Help Director with recruitment and selection for new staff
• Provide supervision and training to program staff.
• Responsible for the delivery of client services, which assist clients to achieve self-sufficiency and secure and obtain appropriate services.
• Help prepare monthly, quarterly, annual program reports as required by the agency and funding sources.
• Participate as part of the management team in developing new staff and supporting current staff to continue to meet the goals of the program(s)
• Assist the management team to develop and manage long-term program and agency goals.
• Adhere to all agency and program policies, contracts, and budgets.
• This is a full-time (5 day) position. The work schedule must include Saturday & Sunday, plus 3 days Monday – Friday. Final work schedule will be decided during interview process.
  

Minimum Position Requirements

• Must complete VIRTUS training, background screening, drug testing, and any ongoing training as required
• A minimum of two years of experience in management and/or team lead in social services
• A minimum of 1 year case management.
• Experience with homeless populations and local social service agencies.
• Ability to work effectively in an environment that is very diverse
• Ability to work in collaborations with a team. Conflict resolution skills
• Demonstrate excellent judgement during high pressure/crisis situations
• Ability to be prioritize and be flexible in an ever-changing environment with a positive attitude.
• Must possess a valid Kansas or Missouri Driver’s license, dependable transportation, current vehicle insurance and a verified safe driving record.
  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, standing, bending and moving
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
• May be exposed to infectious diseases
• Must have physical ability to effectively communicate with others
• Must have the physical ability and appropriate licensure for driving
