Transitional Leader - Director of Nursing (RN)

Responsibilities
  • Oversees the nursing staff for the provision of quality and appropriate resident/patient care that meets or exceeds company and regulatory standards
  • Assists in the preparation of the annual budget for the living center and monitors monthly performance, intervening as needed
  • Schedules and performs rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care
  • Maintains administrative authority and responsibility for proper charting, documentation of care, medications, and treatments
  • Evaluates residents to determine and maintain the center’s ability to provide appropriate care
  • Communicates regularly with the Medical Director to identify educational needs and ensure quality care
  • Manages clinical aspects of state or federal survey processes
  • A full job description, including responsibilities and physical requirements, will be provided during the interview upon request
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
  • Current RN license in the assigned state (state-specific licensing not required if not acting as Director of Nursing Services)
  • Minimum five (5) years of management or supervisory experience in long-term or acute care
  • Restorative or geriatric nursing experience preferred
  • Proven leadership and performance management skills
  • Ability to travel within Indiana, including overnight and extended stays
  • Regular attendance capability
