Job summary

The Salvation Army Indiana Division is seeking a Transitional Housing Ambassador Program Counselor in Indianapolis to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, provide case management, and conduct individual, family, and group counseling.

You will document progress in the electronic medical record, lead educational classes, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while maintaining client confidentiality and meeting certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Background check required and reviewed.
• 1–2 years direct services in substance abuse preferred; some evening/weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide case management and counseling services.
• Document progress in EMR; complete notes within 24 hours.
• Lead group and educational classes as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for continuity of care.
• Maintain client confidentiality per laws and policies.
