Job summary

Grand Strand Medical Center is seeking a Transition to Practice (TTP) Clinical Educator to enhance clinical education for nursing, inter-professional staff and students. This role focuses on developing standardized, evidence-based content and facilitating orientation, RN Residency, Preceptor programs, and other educational experiences.

You will deliver targeted education, assess practice gaps, guide staff to growth, apply adult learning theories, and use evaluation methods to refine curricula.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership preferred.
• 2+ years of acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state(s) where practicing, in accordance with law and regulation. Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Ability to travel up to 75% in market

• Participates and provides lifelong learning.
• Facilitates orientation/onboarding/transition to practice programs to promote employee retention.
• Conducts training in a manner that facilitates a positive learning environment.
• Provides expertise in identifying professional development needs of individual staff in the identified specialty setting.
• Assists staff to identify areas for individual growth in current role.
• Directs staff to career advancement resources.
• Uses novice to expert continuum when developing staff.
• Understands adult educational theory and able to apply to the development of educational programs.
• Demonstrates ability to apply evaluation methodologies (e.g. Kirkpatrick) into courses and curriculum to refine clinical programs.
• Contributes to insights and feedback for succession planning.
• Identifies and provides opportunities for skill enhancement and mastery
