Job summary

Grand Strand Medical Center is seeking a Transition to Practice (TTP) Clinical Educator to support clinical education across the organization, including new employee orientation, RN residency/fellowship, and preceptor programs. The role focuses on standardized, evidence-based education to enhance professional competency among nursing, inter-professional, and non-licensed staff and students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
• Master's degree in nursing is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in acute care hospital preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides lifelong learning and supports orientation/onboarding/transition to practice programs.
• Delivers targeted education to address practice gaps and participates in rounding for outcomes.
• Applies adult education theory to development of educational programs and evaluates their effectiveness (e.g., Kirkpatrick).
• Identifies professional development needs and guides staff to career advancement resources.
• Supports staff growth and mastery through novice-to-expert development.
