Job summary

Lake Washington School District seeks a Paraeducator (Transition Room) at Rose Hill Middle School to support students with diverse needs. This 180-day position works approximately 6 hours per day, starting around 7:50am, at Rose Hill Middle School within the LWSD Learning Community.

The role involves assisting teachers with instruction, supporting students with health care needs, and helping with classroom operations.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Associate degree (AA) or higher OR have completed two years of study equivalent to 72 college quarter credit hours, OR have passed a ParaPro or Paraprofessional assessment.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with individualized and small group instruction for students with physical or behavioral needs.
• Support students' health care needs and develop daily living and behavioral skills.
• Assist staff with classroom preparation, retrieval, use and storage of equipment and supplies; supervise students as needed.
