ACCEPT Education Collaborative in Natick, MA seeks a full-time Teacher for the Transition Program. Responsibilities include educational and behavioral consultation to support low-incidence students, development of IEPs, and collaboration with service providers. A MA license/DESE is required, with at least 1 year SPED teaching experience.

Master’s degree preferred. Salary is based on experience and education.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Valid Massachusetts License / DESE.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Special Education Teacher.
  • Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities.
  • Proven ability to create IEPs.
  • Patient, resilient, resourceful and compassionate personality.
  • Excellent ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Teach, conduct educational assessments, write reports and present findings at Team meetings.
  • Assess students’ abilities and craft teaching plans.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs for each student assigned.
  • Prepare quarterly progress reports.
  • Collaborate with related service providers and coordinate services for assigned students.
  • Provide information and support to parents and District liaisons as appropriate.
  • Coordinate completion of progress reports and Team meeting materials with related service providers.
  • Prepare and plan for instruction that aligns with State Frameworks and IEPs.
  • Develop and implement student schedules to address goals meaningfully.
  • Create a differentiated learning environment tailored to individual needs.
  • Maintain progress tracking and reflect on students’ growth.
  • Monitor behavioral patterns and arrange interventions as needed.
  • Manage classroom crises and resolve conflicts.
  • Prepare students for transition to the next grade.
  • Coach/mentor Teaching Assistants.
  • Respond to email requests within 24 hours.
