Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of post-secondary education required.
• Two years experience with students with disabilities; at least one year in a role with interpersonal interaction.
• Knowledge of programming for students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Supports students in the community with job coaching, creates task analyses and prepares checklists.
• Implements instructional components in the classroom under the guidance of the Special Education Teacher.
• Works to adapt job requirements to student skills to fit work environments.
• Monitors and assesses students' progress and performance.
• Maintains clear records of student performance and communicates with students, staff, admins, and employers.
• Maintains employer relationships and ensures long-term partnerships.
• Provides transportation training and assists students in accessing transportation.
• May transport students using a personal vehicle for community outings.
• Assists students to acquire independent living skills in classroom and community.
• Represents the District with professional standards and conducts.
• Supports integration of assistive technology for students.
• Occasionally provides physical assistance to students with daily living needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
