Job summary

rabbittransit is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service and troubleshoot in-bus video and AVL systems across PA locations. The role requires travel during the workday, with training for the position as needed. Open availability with evening hours and some Saturdays is expected.

The position offers full benefits, training opportunities, and a weekly pay cycle. Candidates must bring their own tools and have a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• HS degree or equivalent is required with some technical training or college in the field of electronics is preferred.
• Ability to diagnose faulty hardware or software and repair or outsource as appropriate.
• Technicians should have first-rate analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Provide training to team members on how to resolve basic or complex issues as appropriate.
• Evaluate technologies and make recommendations.
• Experience in using personal computers, applications, and proficiency in data entry.
• Proficient in computer software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Proficient at administrative skills and the ability to keep accurate records.
• Ability to understand transit systems operations and service area.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for servicing, maintenance, basic diagnosing and troubleshooting of in bus video and AVL systems.
• Perform installations, repair and replacement of video systems in Authority vehicles.
• Ensure systems are in good working order and verify regularly across vehicles.
• Assist and train other employees in operation and maintenance of bus video systems.
• Report maintenance issues to the Maintenance Manager and Safety and Training Manager.
