Job summary

City of Conroe seeks a Transit Vehicle Operator to run fixed-route and paratransit services with a focus on safety and reliable passenger transport. You will serve as a frontline representative and must meet CDL Passenger Endorsement requirements.

The role requires available and flexible scheduling, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and special events. A high school diploma or GED is required along with a clean driving record and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Class C Texas CDL with Passenger Endorsement.
• Must pass CDL physical exam and maintain physical condition through periodic CDL re-examinations.
• Ability to operate transit vehicles safely and professionally in compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate transit vehicles to provide fixed-route, paratransit, on-demand, commuter, and special transportation services.
• Maintain high standards of safety, reliability, and customer service while serving as a frontline City representative.
• Comply with all applicable federal, state, local, and agency regulations and policies.
