Job summary

Tutor Perini seeks a Superintendent - Station Finishes for the Newark AirTrain project in Newark, NJ. This role leads interior station finishes, coordinating tile, terrazzo, metal panels, drywall, and signage from rough‑in to turnover.

The candidate will guide field operations, work with MEP and civil teams, and ensure safety, schedule, and quality for complex transportation facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of superintendent/supervisory experience on transit, railroad, airport, transportation, infrastructure, or large commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of station architectural systems and finish sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, schedules, RFIs, and submittals.
• OSHA 30 Certification.
• NYC SST Supervisor Card.
• Experience coordinating union labor and multiple subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise all station finish activities from rough-in to final completion.
• Develop and manage short-term look-ahead schedules for station finish activities.
• Coordinate daily work with MEP, systems, structural, and civil teams.
• Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and daily field activities.
• Ensure work is performed in accordance with contract documents, project specifications, and approved shop drawings.
• Identify and resolve field conflicts and sequencing challenges.
• Monitor manpower, production rates, and subcontractor performance.
• Maintain project schedule milestones and recovery plans when required.
• Conduct regular quality-control inspections and ensure compliance with project standards.
• Prepare daily reports documenting progress, manpower, and issues.
