Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol Compliance in Tacoma, WA. You will conduct unarmed patrols at transit facilities, ensuring safety and customer service for riders, employees, and visitors.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, monitoring restricted areas, and maintaining detailed incident reports. A background check and possible drug screen apply; licenses and certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit riders, visitors, employees, and contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, access points, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and assist with directing riders and visitors in accordance with location procedures.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with Allied Universal and location requirements.
