Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Patrol Driver Emergency Preparedness in Tukwila, WA. In this unarmed patrol role you will conduct routine patrols, deter incidents, and maintain a visible presence while delivering excellent customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors.

This full-time position requires a valid driver’s license, strong communication, and the ability to respond calmly to emergencies.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related professional license is preferred.
• CPR and first aid certification are preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transportation facilities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and public areas, verify authorized access where required, and assist with directing visitors or responding to customer inquiries.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining professional communication with transit personnel and public-service partners.
