Job summary

Resource Management Systems, Inc. is seeking a Transit Scheduler in Valdosta, GA to coordinate and schedule daily public transit services under GDOT/FTA guidelines.

You will ensure efficient routes, driver assignments, and on-time transportation while maintaining safety and policy compliance. The role reports to the Operations Manager / Dispatch Supervisor and requires strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and experience with scheduling software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and transportation scheduling software.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule daily transit routes, driver assignments, and vehicle utilization based on operational needs.
• Coordinate trip requests, route modifications, cancellations, and schedule adjustments.
• Monitor route coverage to ensure efficiency and compliance with service standards.
• Assist with same-day trip scheduling and urgent transportation requests.
• Utilize routing and scheduling software systems to manage daily operations.
