Description du poste

Summary

This position is open to current King County Metro employees. Eligible career service employees that have completed their probationary period (or will complete it by the closing date of this posting) in their current career service position may take the assignment as an SDA. Final selection for the SDA is subject to reference checks, record review, and approval from the candidate’s current supervisor.

King County Metro is hiring an interim Transit Route Facilities (TRF) Supervisor. Reporting to the Service Development Managing Director, the TRF Supervisor manages a team that is responsible for the development and management of Metro's system of more than 6,500 bus stops and layover facilities. The primary focus of this interim role is ensuring continuity and stability by keeping existing projects on track, supporting the team's day-to-day needs, and maintaining a steady work environment.

The TRF Section Includes Two Core Teams

  • Bus Stop Management Team: Manages bus stop locations and amenities throughout the Metro system.

  • Project Improvements and Partnerships Team: Manages a $40 million transit capital program and develops partnerships with local jurisdictions.

Much of this work involves collaborating with staff across multiple Metro divisions and building strong relationships with local jurisdictions and external partners. Key priorities during this assignment include supporting the Spring 2027 Service Change and helping develop the 2028-29 transit capital budget.

This Special Duty Assignment (SDA) is open to current King County Metro employees and is expected to last up to six months while backfilling for the permanent TRF Supervisor during their assignment. This recruitment will be used to fill 1 SDA position. In addition, this selection process may be used to generate an eligibility pool for future Special Duty Assignment vacancies that may occur in this classification within this workgroup. The eligibility pool will be retained for 12 months from the date of posting and may be used at the discretion of the hiring authority.
