Job summary

GFTis seeking a Transit & Rail Sr. Project Manager to join our Transit & Rail Project Delivery Team in Chicago, IL. The role follows a hybrid work model requiring regular attendance at our Chicago office.

The successful candidate will lead design efforts, manage client relations, and supervise cross-disciplinary teams across large T&R projects from design through construction. A PE and 15+ years of experience in major infrastructure are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; civil or structural preferred.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• 15+ years of progressive experience on major infrastructure projects.
• PM experience with profitably managing major T&R design projects.
• Experience delivering final design to construction and implementation.
• Strong client management and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and manage client and design-team for T&R projects.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates.
• Organize and supervise project teams to ensure contract performance.
• Use PM tools for scope, cost, and schedule control.
• Coordinate multiple disciplines and manage resources.
• Drive new business development and expand existing client relationships.
