Blackstone Talent Group in San Mateo, CA is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to oversee cost, schedule and risk for complex capital projects in the transportation sector. The role emphasizes budgeting, accrual accounting, earned value, and procurement across design, engineering and construction phases.

You will develop budgets, monitor performance, maintain document control, and ensure changes are reflected in baselines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project controls for capital projects.
• Experience with cost analysis, budgeting, accrual accounting, and procurement.
• Experience in transportation or public agency projects preferred.
• Ability to develop budgets and forecasts, manage risk, and Earned Value.
• Strong communication and documentation control.

Responsabilités

• Assist client and internal PMs in managing projects through lifecycle.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to progress projects per plan.
• Support monthly budget and schedule performance analysis.
• Maintain project documents using client systems.
• Set up cost control systems linking accounting and reporting.
• Provide timely information to enable informed decisions.
• Ensure project elements reflect approved changes in baselines.
• Drive the review process.
