The Transit Planning Manager (Technical Manager IV) provides technical support and analytical expertise for transit-related planning activities within the Illinois Department of Transportation. The role involves developing and managing transit planning studies, administering state and federal planning grants, preparing the transit portion of the Multi-Year Program, and maintaining working relationships with transit operators and other agencies.

Key qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in transportation planning, geography, civil engineering, business administration, public administration, public policy, economics, or political science plus two years of related exp


• Working knowledge of state and federal funding programs and processes
