You will coordinate with City departments and agencies to promote effective land use and create walkable, accessible neighborhoods near transit stations.

The role oversees planning through implementation, public hearings, and financing for development opportunities, with an emphasis on housing, jobs, and vibrant public spaces in urban districts.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in city planning or related field, with substitution options.
• Five years of professional planning experience, including supervisory work.
• Knowledge of planning laws, zoning, and redevelopment.
• Ability to supervise staff and coordinate with multiple agencies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee reviews of development proposals and land use changes.
• Guide TOD projects from planning through implementation, including public-private deals and infrastructure coordination.
• Oversee consultant contracts and funding applications.
• Present recommendations at hearings and meetings.
