Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) seeks a Superintendent, Transportation – Training School (Rep) for Buses to ensure daily safe, reliable, and on-time bus service across assigned routes and depots. This role requires coordinating with multiple divisions, managing labor relations, and guiding training programs.

Qualifications include 5 years of related experience with at least 2 years in supervision, plus NYS DMV 19A Examiner certification.

Qualifications

• Five years related experience, including at least two years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• NYS DMV 19A Examiner Certified is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily transportation operations to ensure safe, reliable, courteous, on-time bus service.
• Coordinate with Command Center, Maintenance, and other divisions to ensure readiness and continuity of service; analyze performance and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee labor relations activities, including administration of collective bargaining agreements, grievances, discipline, and union matters.
• Support and collaborate with transit units; rotate between Quality Performance and Training as needed.
• Analyze operational data and develop corrective action plans.
