Job summary

The City of Port Arthur seeks a Transit Utility Worker I to perform semi-skilled and unskilled tasks for PAT revenue fleet and facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning, fueling, and basic maintenance, plus custodial services to transit facilities and grounds.

Qualified candidates will have a CDL with Passenger Endorsement, English literacy, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring flexibility for day/evening shifts and weekends.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with related facility/mechanical training or equivalent.
• High school diploma or GED with two years of relevant experience.
• Texas Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, fueling and basic maintenance on buses and support vehicles.
• Operate and supervise routine equipment used in transit maintenance.
• Maintain records and reports; assist in custodial duties and grounds care.
