Job summary

Gold Coast Transit District is seeking motivated and enthusiastic interns interested in gaining hands-on experience in public transportation, local government, and community service. Interns will have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that support GCTD’s mission of connecting the community to opportunity through safe, reliable, and innovative transportation services.

Typical internship hours will be part time 20hrs per week, but we will work with selected applicants on a schedule if

Qualifications

• A college junior, senior OR a graduate of an accredited undergraduate or graduate program.
• Relevant coursework demonstrating interest and aptitude for a related field.
• Combination of education and work experience that meets the needs of the position.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with data collection, filing, general office support, and special projects
• Use a computer or other software to complete tasks
• Observe and gain exposure to public transportation systems
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and field activities
• Provide administrative and organizational support as assigned
• Collaborate with staff across multiple departments on team-based projects
• Perform other related duties and special assignments as needed
