Job summary

Y2Marketing is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of a designated maintenance shop for the transit fleet. You will direct shop activities, schedule work, monitor readiness, and ensure safety and compliance with policies.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and problem-solving skills, with experience supervising maintenance staff and coordinating with trainers and directors to resolve repair challenges.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in automotive technology, diesel mechanics, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily shop activities, ensuring timely maintenance and repair of transit fleet.
• Plan and schedule work assignments balancing operational needs and staff availability.
• Monitor fleet readiness to meet service requirements including peak vehicle pullout.
• Maintain shop safety, cleanliness, and adherence to workplace standards.
• Supervise Maintenance Shop Supervisors and guide workflow and priorities.
• Assist in evaluating shop personnel and supporting staff development.
• Coordinate with supervisors, trainers and technicians to address complex repairs.
• Prepare reports on shop performance, staffing, and fleet readiness for management review.
