Job summary

OCTA seeks a College Intern – Fleet Engineering/Transit Technical Services to support engineering analysis, data collection, AutoCAD drafting, and project reporting. You’ll gain hands-on experience under a transportation professional while working with a mentor and receiving career guidance.

The internship is a year-round, paid program with about 20 hours per week and a cap of 1,000 hours in 12 months. Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $23.00 per hour depending on education level.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four-year engineering degree with interest in transportation tech.
• Strong analytical and data handling capabilities.
• Familiarity with CAD software is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day technical, analytical, and administrative tasks.
• Collect, organize, analyze, and interpret fleet data.
• Create and update AutoCAD drawings and technical docs.
• Develop charts, graphs, and reports to communicate data.
• Assist with engineering computations and project reports.
• Support fleet-related project planning and evaluations.
• Maintain project files and provide clerical support.
